This is the personal website of Shri Rohit Thakur. It is not an official website of the Government of Himachal Pradesh. This policy explains what information the website collects and how it is used.

What we collect

  • Issue / suggestion form: your name, mobile number, panchayat or village, category, message and an optional photo. We use these only to look into your issue or suggestion and to contact you about it.
  • WhatsApp / SMS updates: your mobile number (and name, if given), only after you tick the consent box.
  • Usage counts: how many times pages are viewed and share buttons are clicked. These counts are anonymous. We do not store your IP address; a one-way hash of it is kept for a short time only to stop spam and abuse.

How long we keep it

Issues and suggestions are kept for 12 months after they are resolved and then deleted. Update subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

Your details are seen only by the office staff handling your issue. Where a matter needs action by a government department, the relevant facts may be forwarded to that department. We never sell or rent your information.

Third-party services

Pages may load content from YouTube (videos, only after you press play), Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection on forms), Google Maps or OpenStreetMap (maps), Open-Meteo (weather) and Facebook/X (social media feeds). These services may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or unsubscribe from updates, by contacting the office using the details on the Contact page.
